Romney Marsh Wool

‘Our family has lived and worked on Romney Marsh for six generations.  We own a breeding flock of circa 1,000 Romney ewes (native sheep specifically bread for the Marsh area).

In 2008 we identified an opportunity to diversify by adding value to the wool crop.  The flock is sheared on the farm and hand-processed by traditional weavers in the UK.  The raw fleece is turned into our unique premium range of throws, cushions, etc. Besides being a renewable and natural resource, the fleece also provides valuable lanolin; we use this beneficial product and have a range of own brand lanolin toiletries.’
